Happy owner, happy cat. Indifferent owner, reclusive cat.

Chinese Proverb

Cats are sensitive to Feng Shui energies, gravitating towards areas of bad or stale chi within the home or garden they set about converting it into a more auspicious energy.   Cats are also drawn to Geopathic Stress within the home and have the innate ability to neutralise it.  (They also like to curl up in front of the heater and on your bed regardless of the energies.)  Cats are commonly considered to embody a yin nature, although anyone who has seen a cat during play-time will appreciate they are wonderful generators of yang chi also.

There are great benefits of love and affection that is created when a cat is brought into a home. Tests have proven that living together is beneficial for people and pets. Stroking a cat lowers heart rates, blood pressure and stress levels.

"You can not look at a sleeping cat and feel tense."

It is important to enhance the influence of a cat in your home. The cat really embodies all that Feng Shui sets out to achieve in terms of poise and balance. Your cat is still in touch with the primeval instincts of her wilder ancestors, so while you may have the feeling that something is 'not quite right' in your home, your cat can pinpoint exactly where the unhealthy energies are. It is important however to work alongside your cat to achieve balance and not rely on him/her to become a chi-converting machine.
